Within the scope of this year‘s Berlin Design Selection, Milan will get to see a curated selection of design works by various successful young designers from Berlin. The products range from flamboyant lights to tables with artistic, experimental surfaces. As a special highlight, the multi-awarded, internationally known designer Werner Aisslinger presents two of his newest creations for the first time — a premiere that shouldn‘t be missed by anyone interested in design.

On top of that, Berlin design will be embedded in an especially imaginative frame: With the renowned, multi-awarded design bureau COORDINATION being responsible for scenography, the Berlin Milano 2014 exhibition is going to convince with its content and aesthetics.

About Berlin Design Selection

Since 2013, the state of Berlin has been representing its design scene in foreign markets under the newly established brand “Berlin Design Selection”. The focus of these representations is to open up new markets for design businesses connecting them with producers, distributors and trade companies.

The presentation will be accompanied by massive communicaton measures. In addition to a sales catalogue, the new website (www.berlin-design-selection.com) will hold all relevant information about the designers and their products year round and create an exciting insight into the Berlin Design Scene for anyone interested internationally.

On facebook (www.facebook.com/BerlinDesignSelection) we will promote the designers, their products and the stops of the tours. Classic public relations work aimed at local and international press will make sure the “Berlin Design Selection” does not go unnoticed.

The presentations for the “Berlin Design Selection” tour were initiated by the state initiative Project Future / Senate department for Economics and Technology. The project “Berlin Design Selection 2013″ is supported by the program “Neue Märkte erschließen” and the European Fond for Regional Development (EFRE). Dynamo Design Berlin e.V., in cooperation with DMY Berlin and the state initiative Project Future, will organize the collective representation abroad.
