Walachei

Walachei, founded by Erik van Buuren, is actually an area in Eastern Europe. It describes the feeling of being far away from the crowds, in search of pristine nature and down-to-earth values. City dwellers flee there temporarily when the impositions of civilization irritate. On return in the city, the smell of resinous wood and damp moss remains in the nose. This inspired the typical Walachei scents arolla pine, cedar, cypress, incense. All resins are derived from naturally grown forests and trees, respecting biodiversity. This requires no artificial monoculture plantations on cleared forest land.
